Abstract
Results of a research project on retraining programmes in USA - for workers adaptation to skills required in consequence of automation and other technological changes. Case study of 4 training centres organised under the labour force development and training legislation by government, private enterprise, trade union and a public sector employment service. Measures to fight unemployment.
