Abstract
Article analysing the factors responsible for the low rate of woman worker labour force participation in Latin America, with particular reference to economic and cultural factors and the fertility factor - concludes that an increase in participation rates would be possible only in the case of higher educational levels and changes in the economic structure, etc. References and statistical tables.
