Abstract
Article commenting on the new codification (labour codes of the union republics) of the basic labour legislation of the USSR - describes the basic features of the new legislation, with particular reference to freedom in respect of labour contracts, employment security, extension of trade union rights, occupational health, occupational safety, higher standards of efficiency, supervision of enforcement of labour legislation, etc.
