Abstract
Article describing the new (1976) system of apprenticeship and in plant training in the engineering industry, aimed at preparing workers for rapid scientific and technological change in Czechoslovakia - discusses overspecialization and theoretical inadequacies of the old system, specifies types of new training courses (in plant, university and technical school, etc.), and notes the role of wage policy as an incentive to training.
