labour inspection institutional framework legal aspect
Argues that with globalization and the growth of the world economy, the need for a comprehensive strategy for the implementation of the Integrated Labour Inspection System (ILIS) is apparent. Shows that new problems such as HIV/AIDS, child labour, forced labour and poor treatment of migrant workers can be lessened with the enhanced coordination and support that would be provided by an ILIS and with the cooperation of employers and trade unions.
