Abstract
Article reviewing relationships between industrial production, export value and employment trends in developing countries from 1960 to 1978 in context with industrialization policies based on local levelindustrial processing of raw materials for export - analyses advantages and disadvantages of capital intensive industrialization strategies in view of labour costs, transport costs and production costs, and remarks on mixed results of protectionist measures adopted by developed countries.
