Article on provisions of the 1972 Council of Europe international agreement on social security for migrant workers in western Europe - examines structure and aims of the convention as well as the basic principles embodied, ie. Equal opportunity, applicability of one legislation only, maintenance of maintenance of acquired rights and payment of benefits abroad, and discusses the coordination formula and compatibility with EC regulations and ILO conventions no. 19, 48, 102, 121 and 130.
