Article on the role of collective bargaining for productivity increase and the satisfaction of basic needs of workers in developing countries - considers negotiation at enterprise level and related decentralization of participatory action as a complement to national social planning; examines the improvement of working conditions, adequate nutrition, occupational health, housing, educational needs, etc.
