Abstract
This Source book is a select guide of material available from the ASIST Information Services for projects and programmes involved in community-managed and labour-based upgrading of urban low-income settlements. Community- management refers to a strong involvement of communities in the planning, design, implementation and/or maintenance of infrastructure using (local) labour supported by light equipment. The material listed are grouped according to sector and indicate the main target group for which the material might be relevant.
