Based on interviews with 1463 working mothers from seven sectors: garment workers, carpet weavers, pashmina weavers, agricultural workers, tea plantation workers, beedi workers and domestic workers. Examines the socio-economic background of the women and their families, working conditions, level of empowerment, household division of labour and the work status of their children.
