Abstract
This exploratory study presents the main results of research on: This exploratory study presents: (a) the possible contributions of corporate social responsibility to the extension of social security from a conceptual point of view; (b) the state of research on the topic and an analysis of the activity of more than 100 MNEs in terms of social protection, through the analysis of their commitments and public reporting; and (c) the experience of 15 MNEs in the implementation of social protection coverage for all of their employees.
