Abstract
Analyses the evolution of foreign direct investment (FDI) and the increasing role of transnational companies for the domestic economies of three Latin American countries in the period 1990-2003. Describes the impact of FDI on employment and wages of different sectors and the shift from the State as an economic player towards the private economy.
