Abstract
This guide offers a comprehensive road map for establishing and strengthening a labour function within an employer and business membership organization (EBMOs). It is tailored to addressing the needs of chambers of commerce and similar organizations in the Arab States region. The guidance is based on practical research, empirical data and good practices from EBMOs around the globe. The guideās objective is to support organizations in introducing or enhancing their policy engagement and membership services relative to labour and employment policy, issues that are increasingly central to business competitiveness, regulatory compliance and social responsibility.
