Provides workers, employers and governments with practical safety and health guidelines for non-ferrous metals production, aluminium,copper, lead, manganese and zinc. Focuses on general principles of prevention and protection, including risk assessment and management, training, and workplace and health surveillance. Identifies and examines a range of physical hazards commonly encountered in the production of non-ferrous metals such as noise, vibration, heat stress, radiation, confined spaces, dust and chemicals.
