Abstract
This brief explores an innovative approach to addressing Lebanon’s agricultural energy crisis through portable solar rental solutions. Highlighting the experience of Deir El Ahmar's Union of Cooperatives, it showcases how affordable, scalable solar energy systems are transforming cold storage operations, reducing energy costs by 50%, and cutting CO2 emissions. Learn how the ILO, in collaboration with YY ReGen and its Systems Change Initiative, is pioneering sustainable energy models that enhance agricultural resilience and promote access to renewable energy for smallholder farmers.
