Abstract
Examines the roles of key institutions (trade unions, political parties, inquiry commissions and lay boards) in promoting decent work for women and examines why and how women have organized themselves beyond the corporatist structure. Investigates the role of women's associations in promoting gender equality in the labour market and in the political arena.
