Abstract
Reliable data are essential for understanding international labour migration and mobility and for designing effective, evidence-based policies. This ILO Practical Guide provides a practical framework for identifying, mapping, and assessing the wide range of data sources used to produce labour migration statistics. Drawing on current international statistical standards, it helps practitioners evaluate data quality, identify gaps, and strengthen national statistical systems by making the best use of complementary sources to build a more complete picture of labour mobility and migrants’ labour market outcomes.
