ILO Formalize Your Business (FYB) is a training programme promoting the formalization of small enterprises and the workers they employ. It was first implemented in 2021 in Côte d'Ivoire, The Gambia and Senegal in collaboration with key national stakeholders, and has, more recently, expanded to other countries. To outline how the FYB training has been implemented so far, the ILO conducted a data collection exercise in the three pilot countries. This publication includes findings from this exercise, and summarizes the feedback from trainers who participated in the Training of Trainers (ToT) as well as entrepreneurs who completed the FYB training.
