Abstract
This policy brief explores the skills landscape of Qatar’s financial sector through an in-depth survey of firms licensed under the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC). It identifies key workforce challenges—such as a disproportionately managerial workforce, underrepresentation of young and Qatari talent, and persistent gaps in soft skills and digital capabilities. While internal training remains the primary upskilling method, the findings underscore the need for stronger industry-academia collaboration, targeted reskilling initiatives, and more inclusive workforce strategies to support a future-ready financial sector.
