Abstract
This new guide, developed under the ILO LEADER Programme, provides Employer and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) with practical, step-by-step support to design and deliver tailored ESG advisory services. With a strong focus on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the guide helps EBMOs create commercially viable services that strengthen members’ sustainability performance while generating new revenue opportunities.​ It is accompanied by a workbook for advisors. The publication offers clear methodologies, templates, checklists, and real-life case studies covering ESG strategy development, implementation, reporting, and access to sustainable finance. It is designed to equip EBMOs with the knowledge and tools they need to respond to growing demand for sustainability support and to position themselves as key actors in advancing responsible and resilient business practices.
