Discusses financial structures and forms of governance in firms. Based on a typology characterizing methods of enterprise financing and governance, distinguishes two models, namely, market-outsider and relational-insider. Explores the direction of internal and external social policy of firms which may be influenced by the financial market and corporate governance system of individual firms.
