The paper explores the viability of such an export-led development strategy in terms of its contribution to the creation of more and better jobs in general, and the gender dimensions thereof. It reviews gender dimensions of overall global employment trends with a focus on selected key labour market indicators and the impact of export-led strategy on employment and labour.
