Abstract
In this note the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) reflect on a recent proposal by the World Bank to introduce a voluntary savings scheme (VSS) in Jordan with the objective to expand social protection coverage to informal workers.
