Abstract
Recognising that the private sector can play an important and complementary role in driving formalization efforts, this brief seeks to explore how market incentives and productive changes through supply chains can be harnessed to drive decent work and more specifically serve as entry points for the transition to formality. It also illustrates some good practices and innovative approaches by MNEs to promote formalization in their supply chains.
