Abstract
The CLEAR Cotton project was co-funded by the European Union and the ILO, and implemented by the ILO in collaboration with FAO, from 2018 until 2023, in 4 target countries: Burkina Faso, Mali, Pakistan and Peru. The project addressed child labour and forced labour in the national cotton value chain, focusing on the lower tiers. Its interventions followed four axes: research and policies, capacity-building, sensitization, and direct interventions with cotton producing communities.
