Abstract
This policy guidance note explores how collective bargaining can address the unique issues and trends in the sector—ranging from working conditions and informality to digitalization and the rise of artificial intelligence. Drawing on examples and innovative practices from around the world, it highlights pathways to strengthen representation, improve working conditions, and promote decent employment in this dynamic industry. The guidance aims to support governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations in ensuring that all workers in the arts and entertainment sector enjoy their fundamental rights, including the right to collective bargaining.
