Abstract
This chapter presents practical examples of how countries have designed, piloted and
assessed recognition of prior learning (RPL)74 systems in recent years with the technical
support of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Its conclusion will present a number
of lessons learned and recommendations for the design and implementation of systems for
the recognition of prior learning.
