Abstract
This paper estimates the total factor productivity (TFP) of Egyptian firms using the economic census provided by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) of 2013 and 2018. It also examines the TFP from different perspectives (economic activities, firm size, governorates, gender, formality status, and sectors). The paper is prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
